No, and it is illegal for the manufacturer to try. Your right to use third-party consumables without losing the manufacturer warranty is protected by EU and UK consumer law. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in the US, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK, and EU Directive 2019/771 all expressly forbid tying warranty to OEM consumables.

Yes. They work in multifunction printers (print, copy, scan, fax) exactly the same. Scanner, copy and fax functions do not depend on the cartridge.

Yes, no problem. You can use a compatible black toner alongside original colour toners (or vice versa). Each cartridge acts independently. It is the most comfortable way to gradually test compatibles.

Some manufacturers (especially HP) push firmware updates to block compatibles. Solutions:

• Do not update firmware if your printer works correctly.
• If you already updated, contact us: we have model-specific solutions.
• Our cartridges ship with an updated chip that bypasses these restrictions.
• If it does not work for this reason: free replacement or refund.
