HP OfficeJet 6220-6836 Ink | 934XL/935XL Compatible
Actualizado 18 julio 2026Share
Looking for ink for your HP OfficeJet 6220, 6800 or any model in the 68xx and OfficeJet Pro series? The cartridges these printers use are the HP 934XL (black) and 935XL (colour) in their high-capacity version. Our compatible 934XL/935XL ink yields 1,000 pages with the same print quality and costs a fraction of the original. See the compatible ink.
Is it compatible with your printer?
The entire HP OfficeJet 62xx/68xx family and its OfficeJet Pro range share the same ink system: the 934/935 cartridges and their high-capacity XL versions. That's why a single reference covers 11 different models. If you have any of these printers, this is your ink:
- HP OfficeJet 6220
- HP OfficeJet 6230
- HP OfficeJet 6800
- HP OfficeJet 6810
- HP OfficeJet 6812
- HP OfficeJet 6815
- HP OfficeJet 6820
- HP OfficeJet Pro 6230
- HP OfficeJet Pro 6830
- HP OfficeJet Pro 6835
- HP OfficeJet Pro 6836
So how do they differ from one another? In the machine's features, not in the ink. The "Pro" models (6230, 6830, 6835, 6836) add office capabilities such as higher speed, automatic double-sided (duplex) printing and more complete network management; the basic variants of the 68xx series are aimed more at home and small-office use. Whatever changes from model to model, the consumable is still the same 934/935. If you're not sure which reference you need, use our printer finder and confirm compatibility in a single click.
The consumable you need and what it yields
The original reference you're looking for is the pairing of the HP 934XL (high-capacity black ink cartridge) and HP 935XL (colour, in cyan, magenta and yellow). Our high-capacity compatible 934XL/935XL ink yields 1,000 pages, measured to the ISO/IEC 24711 standard, the international standard that defines how the life of an inkjet cartridge is calculated so you can compare machines "apples to apples".
An important clarification: we're talking about ink, not toner. These OfficeJet models are inkjet printers, so they work with liquid ink cartridges, not powder toner. As for choosing between the standard version and the XL: the 934/935 family exists in a regular format and in a high-capacity XL format. The XL holds more ink and yields considerably more per cartridge, so it's the most cost-effective option if you print regularly or in volume. The standard version only pays off for very occasional use. For day-to-day office work, the high-capacity one is our recommendation.
How much printing costs you
The advantage of compatible ink is simple: the same page yield, the same cartridge format and the same machine, but paying much less than for the branded original. For the same 1,000 pages printed, the cost per page drops noticeably, and that saving multiplies as soon as you go from a handful of documents a month upwards. Rather than give you a fixed figure, I'd rather you crunch the numbers yourself with your own print volume: use our savings calculator to see, based on your pages per month, how much you'd stop spending each year by switching to compatible. Check the current price of the cartridge and compare it: the difference speaks for itself.
Frequently asked questions
Does the compatible 934XL/935XL ink work just like the original in my HP OfficeJet?
Yes. It is manufactured to meet the same specifications as the original HP 934XL and 935XL cartridges, fits exactly the same and delivers the same print quality across all 11 models in the OfficeJet 62xx/68xx and OfficeJet Pro series. The printer recognises it and works normally.
How many pages does the compatible 934XL/935XL cartridge print?
It yields 1,000 pages, calculated to the ISO/IEC 24711 standard for inkjet cartridges. Actual yield depends on the type of document: text uses less than pages with a lot of images or colour backgrounds.
Does using compatible ink void my HP printer's warranty?
No. Spanish legislation (art. 120 of RDL 1/2007, the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users) protects you: using compatible consumables does not void your equipment's warranty. The manufacturer could only refuse a repair if it proves that a specific consumable caused the damage, something that doesn't happen with quality ink. You can read the details on our warranty page.
How long does delivery take and when is it free?
We ship within 24-48 hours to mainland Spain, and delivery is free on orders over €50. That way you receive your ink ready to print in a couple of days.
