The letters at the end indicate each machine's functions, but they don't change the consumable: HL is printer only, DCP adds scanner and copy, and MFC also includes fax; the C means colour, the D double-sided printing (automatic duplex), the N a wired network connection and the W wifi connectivity. It doesn't matter whether you have the basic HL-L3210CW or the fully equipped MFC-L3770CDW: they fit exactly the same toner and the same drum.

The consumable you need and what it yields

These machines use two different parts that work together. It's worth not confusing them:
