Epson 103 EcoTank ink: models and refilling

Epson lists the 103 series for EcoTank L1110, L3110, L3150, L3151, L3160 and L5190 in Europe. The Startoner listing also names these six models. A shared reference does not guarantee the result of every third-party bottle. Check your printer’s ink code and the tank colour before filling it.

Epson lists its original 103 series for one or more supplies in the six models below. Startoner also lists these models for its compatible bottles, but colours and regional versions are not automatically interchangeable. Check your regional ink code, tank colour and chosen variant.

If your model is not listed, check its manual or ink label before selecting another series. The EcoTank name alone does not establish bottle compatibility.

How to install it and what to do if it "doesn't recognise" the ink

Refilling an EcoTank is straightforward as long as you respect the order and, above all, the colour of each reservoir:

• Open the cover and find the tank for the correct colour. Check the ink code in your model's manual.
• Read the chosen bottle's instructions before opening it. Bring its nozzle to the inlet only if it matches without force; if it does not fit, stop and ask the seller.
• Fill only as directed by the printer manual and the chosen packaging, without exceeding the maximum mark. Then close the tank and cover.
• If the printer calls for an initial ink charge or nozzle check, follow the procedure for your exact model in its manual.

Do not assume refilling requires a bottle-chip reset. After filling the correct tank to the indicated mark, follow only your model’s instructions to confirm the ink level if prompted. Epson explains that its estimated level may differ from the physical amount. Do not assume a universal reset sequence or that every alert will disappear.
