How to install it and what to do if "the cartridge is not recognised"

Installation is identical to that of an original cartridge:

• Open the front cover and remove the old cartridge by pulling it out gently.
• Take the new one out of its packaging, remove the sealing tab and shake it gently from side to side to distribute the toner.
• Insert it until you hear the click of it seating into place and close the cover.

If a message such as "cartridge not recognised" or "not compatible" appears, it is almost always resolved like this: turn the printer off, wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on so that it restarts the chip reading. If the message persists, remove and reinsert the cartridge, making sure the gold contacts are clean.
