• Turn the printer off, wait a minute and turn it back on to force a fresh reading of the chip.
• Take the cartridge out and reinsert it, making sure it seats fully; a dirty or misaligned contact is the most common cause.
• Carefully clean the gold contacts on the chip with a dry, lint-free cloth.

A low-level or "non-genuine" warning does not prevent printing: it is an informational notice that you can dismiss from the panel.
