How many pages does it print?
It prints up to 6,000 pages measured according to ISO/IEC 24711 with 5% coverage. This is the same methodology Canon uses for its original GI-490 cartridge, so the comparison is honest. Real yield depends on the document type: dense text yields less, while emails and low-coverage documents yield more.

How is it installed?
- Ensure the printer is on and open the ink tank cover.
- Remove the cap of the color tank you are going to refill.
- Take out the bottle, remove the seal and screw on the adapter (keyed system to avoid color errors).
- Place the bottle inverted over the tank: ink flows by gravity and stops automatically when full.
- Remove the bottle, recap the tank and close the cover.
- From the printer panel, run the initial charging cycle or printhead cleaning if the printer requests it.
Do I lose my printer warranty?
No. Art. 120 of RDL 1/2007 and Directive (EU) 2019/771 prohibit the manufacturer from voiding your warranty for using compatible consumables. In accordance with Directive (EU) 2024/1799 on the right to repair (in force July 31, 2026), the use of compatible cartridges does not affect the manufacturer's warranty.

Does using a compatible cartridge void my printer's warranty?

Free exchange within 14 calendar days (art. 102 RDL 1/2007) and 3-year legal warranty (art. 120). If it doesn't work, we send you a new one with a tracking number without you having to return the first one.
How do you refill the tank?
Open the tank cover, remove the color cap, screw on the bottle's keyed adapter and invert it: ink flows by gravity and stops when full. Close the tank and run the charging cycle if requested by the printer.
Is it suitable for my Canon model?

What happens if I get the color wrong?
There is no risk: Canon GI-490 bottles use a keyed adapter system (specific shape per color) that only fits the correct tank. If you try it on the wrong tank, the bottle won't screw in.
