What is included and which pages you need

There is no need to print everything. If you are looking for a colouring activity, go directly to the final sheets. If you want to prepare a party corner, combine the small pumpkins with the masks. The printed page numbers are preserved across separate files so you can easily identify each design.

How to print the templates at the correct size

Download the PDF and open it in your regular viewer. Select A4 paper, portrait orientation, and single-sided printing. To start, choose "Actual size" or 100% scale. The "Fit" option may alter the drawing dimensions; Adobe explains how scaling works in its guide to resizing pages when printing [1].

On the first page, there is a square that must measure 2 × 2 cm on paper. Measure it with a ruler. If it prints smaller or larger, check your viewer and printer settings before printing multiple copies. This check verifies the scale, but does not guarantee the mask will fit every face.

Print one page first to check that all lines are clear. Use paper supported by your printer. To make a mask firmer, you can glue the printed sheet onto thin cardboard after printing; do not insert thick cardstock if your printer manual does not support it. If printing from a mobile phone, see our guide to printing from Android and iPhone.

Pumpkins for simple decorations

A large pumpkin with your own expression

The large outline has no face: draw round eyes, raised eyebrows, or a crooked smile. You can test expressions in pencil before inking them. If several people use the same template, assign a different emotion to each one and compare how the character changes.

Colour before cutting out. That way you can support the entire sheet flat on the table, making it easier to reach the edges. To use it as a template, cut out only the outer outline and trace it onto another sheet of paper. The stem is part of the drawing: there is no need to separate it.

Three small pumpkins for a Halloween corner

The other sheet brings together a group of pumpkins: some have faces and one is left blank. Colour them with the same palette to create a cohesive set, or let each person choose their own colours. Then arrange them on a wall display and add names, drawn leaves, or messages on paper cutouts.

These templates are designed for paper crafts. They do not include instructions or technical patterns for carving real pumpkins.

Cat and bat masks with handles

The masks are held by hand using a cardboard strip glued to the back on one side. You can lower the mask whenever you want to speak or move around. No elastic bands or cords required.

  1. Choose the cat or the bat and colour the drawing.
  2. Cut around the outer contour. An adult should cut out the eye openings.
  3. Glue a strip of cardboard to the back on one side as a handle and allow the adhesive to dry.
  4. Check that it holds firmly and that the eye holes allow clear vision. If it does not fit, use it as a decoration.

There is no universal size and no physical fitting test was conducted with these templates. They are craft accessories for use under supervision, not protective gear. Lower the mask when walking around; there is no need to keep it in front of the face throughout the entire activity.

Two colouring sheets to keep imagining

In The Pumpkin Garden, a ghost peeks out among the plants. When finished, you can write the title of your story on the bottom line. In The Friendliest Night, the blank spaces let you add guests to a party: another star, a tiny pumpkin, or any character you invent.

For a family afternoon, place pencils in the centre and let each person pick their sheet. In the classroom, set up one colouring table and one assembly table, with adult assistance for the internal cutouts. Anyone who prefers not to cut can complete an entire colouring sheet. If you are looking for another paper craft activity, see our printable handwriting worksheets.

If printing does not go as expected

The drawing is cropped: ensure the selected paper is A4 and review the print preview. If you need to shrink it to fit your printer's printable area, recheck the scale square and mask fit.

You only want one activity: use its individual download. Avoid taking screenshots of the preview: download the PDF to obtain the illustrations at the best available quality.

The paper jams: stop the job and follow your printer's instructions. Our guide to clearing paper jams helps identify common causes.

If you need supplies, at Startoner you can check our compatible ink cartridges and confirm your printer model before choosing. For this activity, printing black outlines and colouring by hand is all you need.
