• Compatible HP CF217A (17A) toner: it's the one carrying the printing powder and the one you use up with each page. It yields 1,600 pages according to the ISO/IEC 19752 standard (the standard measurement for monochrome toner). It's the replacement you'll buy regularly.
• Compatible HP CF219A (19A) drum: it's the image unit that transfers the toner to the paper. It yields 12,000 pages, so it withstands several toners before having to replace it (around seven 1,600-page cartridges). You only change it when the printer itself tells you to.
