How to install it and what to do if it "doesn't recognise the cartridge"

Installation is straightforward: switch off the printer, open the front cover, remove the used cartridge, take the new one out of its packaging, spread the toner evenly with a gentle side-to-side rocking motion and remove the protective seal. Insert the cartridge until it clicks into place and close the cover.
