This is a black toner equivalent to the HP 56A. It is fully compatible with these monochrome multifunction models:

How to install it and what to do if "the cartridge is not recognised"

Close the cover and switch on.

If a warning such as "cartridge not recognised" or "incompatible toner" appears, it is almost never a fault with the product. Try these steps:

• Switch off the printer, remove the cartridge, wait a minute and put it back in. A cold restart usually reactivates the chip reading.
• Check that you have fully removed the seal and the plastic protectors.

These warnings are usually informational and you can carry on printing as normal by accepting the alert on the panel.
