Compatible Kyocera TK-1120 toner: installation, chip reset and savings guide

The compatible Kyocera TK-1120 toner is a 3,000-page black cartridge manufactured to the ISO 9001 standard, designed as a direct replacement for the original in ECOSYS-series monochrome laser printers. What it is and which printers it fits

It is a black toner cartridge with a declared yield of 3,000 pages at 5% coverage, the ISO/IEC 19752 measurement standard. It is compatible exactly with these machines:

How to install it and what to do if it "does not recognise the cartridge"

Installation is the same as for an original cartridge:

• Open the front cover and remove the empty cartridge by pulling the lever.
• Gently shake the new cartridge horizontally several times to distribute the toner.
• Insert it until you hear the locking click and close the cover.

ECOSYS printers usually accept the compatible cartridge without any issues. If a non-genuine toner or low-level warning appears when you install it, bear in mind that on this series the message is informational: by pressing OK or Continue the machine carries on printing normally. If the warning persists, switch the printer off, wait a few seconds, remove and refit the cartridge making sure it clicks into place properly, and switch it back on so the reading resets. As it is a consumable with a new chip, you do not need any manual counter resets.

Yield and savings compared with the original

The yield is equivalent to that of the branded cartridge: 3,000 pages under ISO conditions, with a stable print density from start to finish thanks to ISO 9001 quality control.
