The Lexmark drum (imaging unit or photoconductor) is the cylinder that transfers toner onto the paper inside your laser printer. It is not the toner: it is a separate consumable that lasts thousands of pages and is only replaced every several cartridges. The imaging unit is the photoconductor cylinder (OPC) that fuses the toner onto the sheet. In many Lexmark laser printers it is separate from the toner cartridge, so you can replace just the drum without changing everything.

Getting the right imaging unit is simple: you can go by the drum reference, by your printer model, or simply by telling the drum apart from the toner. Here are the three ways.
It's the most reliable method. Look for the code printed on the used imaging unit or on the printer panel, for example E260X22G (D260A), 50F0Z00 (D310) or 51B0Z00 (D317), and enter it in the search box.
If you can't see the reference, tell us your model (an MS610, an MX521, an E360…) and we'll tell you the exact imaging unit it takes. You can also message us on WhatsApp with the model.
Remember that the drum is not the toner: the drum is the photoconductor cylinder that lasts tens of thousands of pages, and the toner is the powder that runs out much sooner. Here you buy the imaging unit; you'll find the toner in its own collection.
Buying a compatible drum is completely safe for your printer. The 3-year legal warranty (RDL 1/2007, art. 120, and Directive (EU) 2019/771) protects you, and using third-party consumables does not void your device's warranty.

The toner is the powder that prints and runs out much sooner. In many Lexmark laser printers they are separate consumables: you change the toner several times before you have to replace the drum.
When the printer warns that the imaging unit has reached end of life, or when repeated smudges, lines or grey backgrounds appear that don't clear up when you change the toner. Depending on the model, a Lexmark drum yields between 30.000 (D260A) and 60.000 pages (D310, D317).
No. European legislation (Directive (EU) 2019/771) and RDL 1/2007 protect your right to use third-party consumables without losing your device's warranty. What's more, our drums carry their own 3-year warranty.
