How to install it and what to do if the "cartridge is not recognised"

Installation is identical to that of an original:

• Switch the printer on and open the front cover so that the cartridge carriage moves to the centre.
• Remove the used cartridge by pressing it gently downwards to release it.
• Take the new cartridge out of its packaging and remove the protective strip covering the contacts and the nozzle. Do not touch the metal area with your fingers.
• Insert the cartridge into its colour-coded slot until you hear a click, then close the cover.

If a cartridge not recognised, used or counterfeit message appears, it is almost always resolved as follows: switch the printer off, take the cartridge out again, carefully clean the gold contacts with a dry cloth, refit it and restart the machine. If the alert persists, remove all the cartridges, switch the printer off, wait a couple of minutes and refit them: this forces the machine to re-read the chips.
