How to install it and what to do if the "cartridge is not recognised"
Always remove the protective strip and don't touch the contacts.
If, after fitting it, a cartridge not recognised or "used/counterfeit" warning appears, it's usually not a fault: it's HP's detection system. Try these steps:
- Remove the cartridge and reinsert it firmly until it clicks.
- Carefully clean the contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth.
- Switch the printer off for a few minutes and back on again to reset the chip reading.
- If the warning persists, accept to continue when the printer offers to carry on using the cartridge.
