The letters in the name only indicate each machine's features, but they all use the same toner. The D stands for automatic double-sided (duplex) printing; the N, wired network connection (Ethernet); and the W, wireless connection (WiFi). That's why a DN prints double-sided and connects to a network, and a DW adds WiFi. The DCP and MFC models are multifunction (they print, copy and scan), while the HL models only print.
