The imageRUNNER 25xx series is a family of monochrome laser office multifunction machines, designed for workgroups with a medium-high volume. The two models share the same consumables architecture, so the same toner and drum work for either of them. If you own any of these machines, this is your guide:

• Canon imageRUNNER 2535
• Canon imageRUNNER 2545

The difference between the 2535 and the 2545 is above all in print speed (the 2545 prints more pages per minute), but both use the same Canon C-EXV toner and drum family. You'll see variants of these models with suffixes such as i (advanced network and send functions): as far as the consumable is concerned, nothing changes, the toner and drum are the same. The consumable you need and what it yields

In these machines the system is divided into two pieces: the toner, which provides the printing powder, and the drum, the image unit that transfers the toner to the paper. The drum doesn't wear out at the same rate: it lasts several toners before you have to replace it, so you'll only change it occasionally.

The compatible Canon C-EXV32 toner yields 19,400 pages and the compatible Canon C-EXV42 toner yields 10,200 pages, both measured with ISO/IEC 19752.
