How to install it and what to do if the "cartridge is not recognised"

Installation is identical to that of the original:

• Open the front cover and remove the used cartridge.
• Take the new toner out of its packaging and remove the protective seal by pulling the tab.
• Gently shake it horizontally to distribute the toner evenly.
• Insert it until it clicks into place and close the cover.

If a warning such as "non-genuine HP cartridge" or "not recognised" appears, in most cases it is enough to switch the printer off and on again, or to remove and reinsert the cartridge so that the chip is read again. This type of message is usually related to HP firmware updates that block cartridges; it is worth checking your device's automatic update settings before installing a new consumable. Remember, too, that using compatible toner does not void your legal guarantee in Spain.
