How to install it and what to do if it says "cartridge not recognised"

Installation is identical to the factory cartridge: open the front door, pull out the toner carriage, remove the spent cartridge of the relevant colour and fit the new one until you hear the click. Remove the protective seal before inserting it and avoid touching the drum.

Because this toner has a built-in chip, the printer detects it automatically. If a message such as "cartridge not recognised" or "used or counterfeit consumable" appears, try these steps:

• Turn the printer off, wait about 30 seconds and turn it back on so it re-reads the chip.
• Take the cartridge out and refit it, making sure it seats fully.
• Wipe the chip's gold contacts with a dry cloth in case there is toner dust.
