How to install it and what to do if it "doesn't recognise the cartridge"

Installation is identical to that of the original cartridge:

• Switch off the printer and open the front cover.
• Remove the used cartridge by pulling on the handle.
• Remove the transport seal from the new cartridge and shake it gently from side to side to distribute the toner.
• Insert it fully until it stops and close the cover.

These models use a chip that reports the toner level. If, after installing it, a cartridge not recognised or non-genuine warning appears, first try switching the printer off and on again so it re-reads the chip, and check that you have fully removed the seal.
