Canon G2411 compatible ink (6,000 pages): installation and savings guide
Actualizado 18 julio 2026Share
If you have a Canon PIXMA refillable tank-system printer (G series), you'll know the consumable isn't a classic cartridge but an ink bottle that fills the internal reservoir. Our bottle compatible with the Canon code G2411 delivers a yield of up to 6,000 pages and is manufactured to the ISO 9001 quality standard.
What it is and which printers it fits
It is a compatible ink bottle (not a Canon original) formulated for MegaTank continuous-refill systems. It fits these models:
- Canon PIXMA G1400, G1410, G1411
- Canon PIXMA G2400, G2410, G2411
- Canon PIXMA G3400, G3410, G3411
- Canon PIXMA G4400, G4410, G4411
Before buying, check the exact model on the front label of your printer. If you're unsure whether to choose original or compatible, we recommend reading our comparison test original vs. compatible printed side by side.
How to install it and what to do if something goes wrong
Unlike cartridges with a chip, PIXMA tank printers have no chip on the bottle: the ink is poured directly into the reservoir. Installation is straightforward:
- Open the lid of the ink reservoir for the relevant colour.
- Remove the bottle's cap and fit it into the tank's nozzle.
- Let the ink flow by gravity up to the maximum fill line. Do not squeeze the bottle.
- Close the reservoir cap and wipe away any residue.
As the system doesn't use a chip, the usual "cartridge not recognised" warning doesn't appear here, nor do you need to reset any chip counter. If the printer still shows a low level after refilling, run an ink counter reset from the printer's panel (hold down the Stop/Reset button for a few seconds, as indicated in your model's manual). If you notice lines or faded colours, run a printhead cleaning and check the result with a CMYK test page.
Yield and savings versus the original
Cost per page is the real argument for tank systems, and a compatible bottle reduces it even further. With a yield of up to 6,000 pages per bottle, the cost per printed sheet sits well below that of traditional cartridges. Compared with the original bottle, a compatible one of the same capacity cuts the outlay considerably while maintaining equivalent density and coverage on the document. Why buy it from Star Toner
Our compatible ink bottle is manufactured to the ISO 9001 standard, with full legal warranty in accordance with Spanish law and dispatch from our warehouse. Buying compatible is entirely legal and does not void your printer's warranty: we explain this in detail in the article on the legal warranty of compatible cartridges in Spain.
You can get it from €2.49 on the Canon G2411 compatible ink product page. And if you also use Canon equipment with conventional cartridges, take a look at our Canon CGI-590 compatible bottle, also 6,000 pages and ISO 9001.
Frequently asked questions
Does the G2411 bottle have a chip, or does it need resetting?
No. Canon PIXMA G-series printers use a refillable tank system with no chip on the bottle, so you won't see the cartridge-not-recognised warning. You only need to refill the reservoir and, if the printer still shows a low level, reset the ink counter from the panel.
How many pages does this compatible ink bottle yield?
It delivers a yield of up to 6,000 pages, measured to ISO 9001 quality standards. The actual result depends on the coverage of your documents and images.
Which Canon printers is it compatible with?
With the PIXMA G1400, G1410, G1411, G2400, G2410, G2411, G3400, G3410, G3411, G4400, G4410 and G4411. Confirm the exact model on your equipment's label before buying.
Does using compatible ink void my Canon warranty?
No. Spanish law protects the use of compatible consumables, and the manufacturer cannot void your equipment's warranty on those grounds. Our bottle also includes a full legal warranty.
