• Remove the used cartridge by pulling it out gently.
• Take the new toner out of its bag, remove the protective seals and rock it horizontally several times to distribute the toner powder.
• Insert it until you hear a click and close the cover.

If after installing it a message such as "toner not recognised" or "incompatible cartridge" appears, it can almost always be resolved this way: switch off the printer, wait about 30 seconds and switch it back on so the machine re-reads the chip. Also check that you have removed all the seals and that the cartridge is properly seated. Most of these messages are informational alerts you can dismiss, not an actual block.
