This is a toner cartridge equivalent to the Canon 067, ready to install and with a built-in chip, so the printer detects the consumable's status just as it would with a factory cartridge. It is compatible with exactly the following models:

If your device does not appear in this list, do not use it: even if the physical format looks similar, the chip and profile may not match.
How to install it and what to do if the "cartridge is not recognised"
Installation is straightforward. Open the cartridge access cover, remove the used 067 and take the new one out of its packaging. Distribute the toner by gently rocking it from side to side, remove the protective seal and slot it in until you hear the click. Close the cover.
If a cartridge not recognised or non-original consumable warning appears, in most cases it is resolved as follows:
- Turn the printer off, wait around 30 seconds and turn it back on to restart the chip reading.
- Reseat the cartridge: very often the fault is simply poor contact on the chip pins.
- Carefully clean the gold chip contacts with a dry cloth if you notice any residue.
- Confirm that you have completely removed the internal seal.

It yields approximately 1,350 pages according to the ISO standard, calculated at 5% coverage. The actual yield varies depending on the type of documents and the amount of colour you print.
My printer says the cartridge is not original: is that a problem?
No. It is usually an informational firmware warning and does not prevent printing. Turn the printer off and on, reseat the cartridge and, if needed, clean the chip contacts.
Does buying a compatible toner void my Canon's warranty?
