How to install it and what to do if the "cartridge is not recognised"

Installation is simple and requires no tools:

• Open the front cover and remove the old cartridge, pulling it out gently.
• Take the new toner out of its packaging, remove the protective seals and rock it back and forth a few times horizontally to distribute the powder evenly.
• Insert it until you hear it click into place and close the cover.

If after the swap you see a "cartridge not recognised", "not compatible" or question mark warning, don't be alarmed: it usually resolves in seconds. Turn the printer off, wait around 30 seconds, turn it back on and let it reset the chip. If the warning persists, remove and refit the cartridge, making sure the chip is properly aligned with the contacts.
