How to install it and what to do if it "doesn't recognise the cartridge"

Replacement is straightforward and requires no tools:

• Open the front door of the machine and locate the cartridge for the empty colour.
• Remove the used cartridge as directed for your bizhub model.
• Gently shake the new toner from side to side to distribute the powder evenly.
• Remove the seal or sealing cap if fitted and insert it until it stops.
• Close the door; the machine will initialise the new cartridge automatically.

Each TN227 includes its own chip, so in most installations the printer detects it instantly. If a message such as "toner not recognised" or "non-original" appears, try these steps: switch the printer off and on to force a fresh chip reading; remove and reinsert the cartridge, making sure it seats properly; and wipe the gold chip contacts with a dry cloth. These messages are usually manufacturer warnings about non-OEM consumables and, unless there is an active firmware block, they don't stop you printing.
